Riva Starr is bringing the sound of his Snatch! record label to That Mixmag Thing, Friday February 3 at the Queen of Hoxton, London.

Now almost two years old, Snatch!’s entertaining and eclectic spirit has had little problem connecting with hugely diverse dance floors, disrupting and delighting the house music scene over the past 24 months… a label whose jackin’ and juicy flair has made its way into the record boxes, airwave playlists and retentive memories of DJs around the world as diverse as Annie Mac to Pete Tong, Claude VonStroke to Carl Cox and Joris Voorn to Michel Cleis.

With Riva Starr at the helm it’s no wonder that Snatch has naturally manifested a genuine character, and released a true assortment of house gems that range from the bouncy, sun-drenched “Body Holly’ by Prince Club, to tech-house monster ‘U Know’ by Jet Project to disco supremo Pirupa’s 'The Leader’.

With his unique patchwork of styles, Stefano Miele - aka Riva Starr has swiftly established himself as one of the most unique and recognisable producers and DJs around today.

Having released and remixed on key dance labels such as Made 2 Play, Get Physical, Dirtybird, Kindisch and Southern Fried; Riva’s diverse, but always distinctive sound has helped him notch up a fan-base that ranges from Annie Mac to Pete Tong, Tiësto to Riccardo Villalobos, Carl Cox to DJ Sneak. His remixes are as diverse as his own productions, already including The Gossip, Derrick Carter, Usher, Thomas Schumacher, Plan B, Dennis Ferrer, Lionrock and Estelle. Riva describes his sound as having many different angles to it – "it’s funny, sometimes it’s grotesque and sometimes it’s bouncy and dark, it really reflects my personality,” he says.

Jet Project will release their first album on Snatch! in April 2012. It includes some interesting collaborations and remixes with names such as Robert Owens, Electric J, Stacey Pullen, Homework and more. Their latest release (below) has been supported by the likes of A-Track, Luciano, Claude VonStroke, Tiesto, Nic & Mark Fanciulli, X-Press 2, Seth Troxler, Dubfire and Audiojack.
