Now lugging a backbreaking bag of vinyl about is no longer required for the digital DJ, neither is a clunky bag. The EFX Flyby splits in two just when you need it.
What makes it different? Let’s face it, most DJs’ ‘significant other’ is their laptop. This nifty bag allows you to detach the laptop pocket with the straps so you can leave the rest of your gear at the hotel or in the hold of a plane while you zoom around with a lighter load and your essential piece of equipment on your back. Its eco-friendly design doesn’t contain PVC plastic and it’s very durable, a nice touch considering the affordable price tag.
What can it carry? The detachable section can hold a 17” laptop and some vinyl or magazines, while the main compartment has a strap for tying up your cables neatly, and a deep space for controllers, hard drives and vinyl. The other front pockets have lots of smaller spaces for headphones, passports, adapters ... It’s also got a headphone ‘thru hole’ for keeping your music player safe while you listen to tunes on the move. There are multiple carrying straps and lots of small pockets for all those annoying bits of gear that you can never find when you need them most.
Any weaknesses? Trolley lovers will have to man up and get used to carrying a bag around. Also, it’s not great for stashing clothes if you want to travel with only one bag.
