Forming their partnership in 2007, Lithuanian nationals Marijus Adomaitis (Mario Basanov) and Vidmantas Cepkauskas (DJ Vidis) have been turning heads in house circles of late. Rounding up a raft of decent 12”s on labels such as Future Classic, Endless Flight, Best Works and their own Silence imprint, ‘Changed’ marks the increasingly revered pair’s first album. Comprised of 20 tracks, the first disc strolls through an assortment of melodic cuts featuring British soulstress Kathy Diamond and fellow Lithuanians Jazza and Giedre, the second a selection of more floor-orientated instrumentals. The journeying epic ‘Kashyyyk’ (which closed Damian Lazarus’s recent ‘Get Lost’ mix) provides the standout moment, but there’s a high standard maintained throughout. A varied and promising debut album; expect to hear a lot more from these two.
